Opinions

I tend to be fairly strong in my opinions on some aspects of diabetes treatment, various national diabetes authorities, internet spammers and scammers and some other things. So This page will act as a "Contents" page, with links to other pages as I post them.

Hi Alan, I found your website by chance. My Dad had just been diagnoses with Leukemia CLL and Type II diabetes and when I googled them - you are what I got. He like you has also a fondness for Red Wine and travel and so i have recommended the site to him for some informative tips and some light relief - You seem to have a lot in common perhaps you are twins seperated at birth - He unlike you (from the slickness of your site ) is a bit of a technophobe though and I dont know whether he will get around to finding you himself, however it was refreshing to read how well you are coping with these two conditions and I hope he can do the same - thanks for taking the time to record this information, just wanted to let you know that it has given me some comfort and I hope it will him - when he eventually gets the lap top fired up !!

Hi Kbear

I'm glad you found me and I hope it helps your Dad.

If he won't fire up the laptop, possibly you could print out the page on testing and a copy of the link to "Test, test, test".

On CLL, I gained a lot from the email list on the ACOR web-site at www.acor.org. I was a list manager there for a while, but I am taking a break for the moment, while the CLL is not progressing.

The joining page is here: http://listserv.acor.org/SCRIPTS/WA-ACOR.EXE?SUBED1=CLL&A=1

Wish him my best.

Cheers, Alan
